Hey ya'll,
Top news! Star siting at my first TIFF film at Roy Thomson Hall.
Upgraded seats... right next to the cast and director!
My first and only gala film was a Roy Thomson Hall to view the screening of Dangerous Liaisons starring Korean star Jang Don Gun and famous China actress Zhang Ziyi.
The film is same plot as "Cruel Intentions" but with a different twist in culture and age period. The film itself was shot very beautifully and older Shanghai was very elegant looking. The colouring of the film was a deep rustic feel and the props and mannerisms looked amazing.
The only thing I would have liked to see if the development of both main characters' growing relationship.. in order to show that we really believe they are in love. Jang Dong Gun looked a little distant in his role, while Ms. Zhang Ziyi played a beautifully tragic and innocent victim of love.
Zhang Ziyi looked absolutely stunning her french-designer gown. It hugged in all the right places and draped to the floor like silk on skin. Her elegance and kindness to her fans was very nice. =0) All in all, she was a very fun star to watch and see and meet!

Mr. Jang Dong Gun (left) was a very stunning man to look at. You can't really take your eyes off of him. Though I've never seen any of his work, my friend (left photo) was a big fan and was happy when he took a photo with her (unfortunately, I only caught the tail of their mini photo shoot). He was classy and so fun to meet too!
Both actors were very great and mixed in with the crowd to give photos and signings to the patrons that lingered. Dong Gun even after he entered his car, went back out to Wellington street (behind RTH) and ran up to the fans who called him and he started signing autographs. We were still in the building when we saw him do that. What a gentlemen. But, I do hope he is okay! Once he came to the group of fans (Korean, I'm assuming) they swarmed him like crazy!!
Thanks Louanne.....
..... thanks Donna!!!
=0)
What a great night!
